Hello, IAS Members,

Volume 34(3) of the IAS Newsletter is now available and should be dropping into your email soon--you may have already received it.

This August issue contains all of the important information about the upcoming 35th IAS Show & Sale that will take place at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Miami, Florida on September 15 & 16. You can find out about where to make your hotel reservations and about all of the special speakers and vendors that will be presenting at the Show. It will be a great time to able to attend and interact with fellow aroiders.

Also in this issue: Zach DuFran offers an exciting look at his recent trip to Indonesia and the botanical wonders that he saw there…Peter Boyce and Wong Sin Yeng describe and illustrate the fruits of Bakoa nakamotoi for the first time…and Scott Hyndman comments on banana moths that are fond of Amorphophallus tubers in Florida...all articles have beautiful accompanying photos. ** Please remember to vote for the Board of Directors Candidates that can be found on the last page of this Newsletter.

Thanks to everyone for their input and expertise on this issue!

Special thanks to Derek Burch for another beautiful issue of Aroideana.

Deadline for submission for the December IAS Newsletter is November 5, 2012. Please think about what you can contribute.

With all best wishes,

Carla Kostelac
