Re: Jill and a new Anthurium

Dear Jill and Chris:  The proper spelling must be Anthurium hudsoniae Croat & D.C. Rogers according to the rules and since Jill actually “collected” a specimen it need not end with “anum”.  Chris, I am uncertain at present if the name Rogers has been used as a botanical author, if not you would own it. Otherwise it would have to appear with initials.

Donna:  I could not find this name in Tropicos. It has gone under the name Anthurium jillbelliae, A. jillharrisiae and perhaps spellings with other endings, iae, etc. but I thought that I had asked you to add it as Anthurium hussoniae Croat & Rogers. Please add it as such and eliminate any other spelling.  Please find out if the name Rogers has been used under botanical authors and if necessary use his

Initials D.C. Rogers. He goes be D. Christopher Rogers.
