Alocasia Hybrid picking

How does one go about picking the best out of a tray of plants to propigate.
I figure the healthiest grower. But to me besides that they are all great
plants. What makes one worthy to be overly produced? Any help in this
picking I am up to hearing about any good advise. THANKS
