Below a transcription from the newspage of the Botanical Garden Bonn.

The Inflorescences of the "Titanwurz"(Amorphophallus titanum") has started
opening today at noon(Thursday July 7th.)At early evening it will be totally
opened. The Flower has reached a high of 257 cm since early June and so it
is 24 cm higher since the last flowering of 1996. So this is a record for
the Botanical Garden of Bonn.
