Hello Harry:
A similar species Alocasia cuprea did not go dormant last year; we kept it
at 60dF or above and it is still putting on new leaves. The humidity was
relatively low. Our winters are not particularly humid, compared to summer;
we are now in the rainy season. Not the green shield, but quite similar.
Hope this helps...Christian

Does anyone have any experience with this Alocasia in a low humidity
environment. Can it withstand the conditions of the home in the northern
sections of the country during the winter?
Thanks,
Harry
