Thanks for the info., Denis, Greg is quite a breeder! I THINK that that particular cross has been made in Miami years ago (Ron?), also P. stenolobum X P. gouldii, and Joep had one 'happen' in his yard in Fr. Guyana, when seedlings grown from P. gouldii seed turned out to have P. soliemoense (spelling?), of which a huge plant was growing next to the P. goeldii, as the 'Papa'! Joep named the very attractive hybrid offspring P. 'marijka' after his wonderful wife. Several folks in Florida had plants of this.
If Poss., please reserve a couple of the P. stenolobum seedlings for me. See you in Sept.

Good Growing,
Julius

GREG HAMBALI A PLANT BREEDER IN INDONESIA MADE THIS HYBRID AND HE DID
SEND SOME OFF TO THE USA WITH A FRIEND TO SELL...HE ALSO MADE ANOTHER
HYBRID WHICH WAS PHILO. WILLIAMSII X GOELDII. HOWEVER, SINCE OUR RECENT
DISCUSSION OF WHAT IS AND ISN'T P. WILLIAMSII AND WHAT IS P. STENOLOBUM,
I AM WILLING TO BET THAT THE PARENT OF BOTH HYBRIDS IS P. STENOLOBUM.

OF COURSE THE REST OF THE WORLD PROBABLY DOES NOT REALLY CARE ABOUT THE
NAME GAME...THEY JUST WANT THE HYBRID OF THE PLANT FORMERLY KNOWN TO
HORTICULTURE AS P. WILLAMSII CROSSED BY P. SELLOUM (WHATEVER SPECIES
THAT IS).

This interesting hybrid has gotten a bid of more than
$280!

"EXTREMELY RARE HYBRID PHILODENDRON SELLOUM X
WILLIAMSII"

I asked why "Indonesia" when there are no native
Philos in that land, and the guy says it's from some
great hybridizer over there...<<
