It’s quite a widespread species in the eastern Mediterranean. I have grown it in the past from a collection I made from consolidated sand along the coast from Alexandria. It proved difficult to maintain in cultivation (as did Biarum olivieri with which it co-occurs). I suspect collections from the more usual limestone-derived terra rossa soils on which it occurs in Turkey might be more amenable to cultivation. Off-hand I don’t know if anyone still maintains it but it might be in cultivation in Zurich BG or in Vienna, or Heidelberg.

Is Eminium spiculatum in cultivation at all? I just discovered this fascinating desert aroid when researching Zamioculcas. (On Steve's website, for those of you who knew him.)

I'd be interested in learning more if anybody has grown it.
