Atabapoense, about 5 feet up on a 4x4 in the old shadehouse.

I got the atabapoense from glass greenhouse about 2000 or so. Julius Boos told me it wasn’t THE plant I had hoped. It did climb and had maroon back. I still have a small piece of it outside.

Interesting.
Mine did climb. Did you actually get yours from me? If so; I wonder if each exhibited different behaviors.
The plant in the white pot is the A X B, and the one in the black pot is an Atabapoense.

I also bought a “Santa Leopoldina” years ago, and it was an atabapoense. This does not appear to be a climber but more like a thaumatophyllum.

I've had "Sante Leopoldina" and it turned out to be atabapoense X billietiae.

Hi Jill,
Did you intend to include a photo of your plant or are you asking just in regard to the name in general? Double-checking as I don’t see an attachment.

I am curious what this is actually called these days, used to be P. Santa Leopoldina, and with the change in name of so many non-climbing philos, what is this called now? Sorry if it is a dumb question. I got a seedling that is rather large from Ecuagenera US and it has grown a new leaf and doesn’t seem to be as fussy as I thought it might be. So it at least is a twofold question. Thanks all!
