I bought a small Peltier effect cooler (solid state, so small-ish and no coolant) once for a terrarium for cool-growing plants. There were logistical issues - the first was that to use it to cool the enclosure directly, it needed to be on top of the terrarium (cool air, more dense, sinks) but that's also where the lights needed to be, and the dimensions of the components I had just didn't work together.

But I think now combining that with Christopher's idea, using the Peltier to cool the air from the aquarium pump on the way in, might just work. Air flow plus cooling.

Generally, even with LED lights, you'll get some temperature drop at night when the lights go off. But I don't know if it'll be enough.

The Splendidum requires no airflow.   That's why the box is working so well for her. The other plants, except one which melted immediately, are doing okay. 

The boxes are plastic display cases with magnetic clasps I got off Amazon.  “Normal” people use them for shoes or figurines.  I’ll try Christophers air pump idea with one of them(thanks!.  I have no idea how to get a 10F temp drop at night in the house where I also have to live so I guess I'll just enjoy it while it lasts along with the corrugated Anthurium I bought...  The Tropicals IG live sales FREAKING DANGEROUS!  I know better than to buy plants without researching them first!

I believe the lower temps help it preserve energy as it slows down metabolism, similar to some other corrugated Anthuriums that simply melt. In a home setting that's hard to replicate.

Right now I have her in a display box with my Splendidum (which is doing great!) along with some other terrarium plants. The box is maintaining 92% humidity and gets medium light. Everything I've read says the cutucuense likes 80% humidity.  Is 92% going to melt her?  My cabinets are at around 50% and 70%, so I feel like this is my only option...

I do have a couple of props so I'll hopefully have another chance if I murder her... ;)
