    Al,
      My Konjacs were slow as well. This is my first with Amorphs.  
but my 7" diameter ones just poked out a few days ago. I planted them  
4-5 inches deep. It HAS been a really cool, wet spring here. The  
smaller one's (golf ball sized) I started indoors are full grown  
though and look great!
