So I am currently reading _Forest Bathing_, by Dr. Qing Li. In the chapter on houseplants, he writes:
"As part of a study that looked at ways to clean the air in space stations, NASA came up with a list of the top ten air purifying plants:
Peace lily
Golden pothos
English ivy
Chrysanthemum
Gerbera daisy
Mother in law's tongue
Bamboo palm
Azalea
Red-edge dracaena
Spider plant"
Isn't it gratifying to see that the top two are both aroids? (Spathiphyllum spp. and Epipremnum aureum)
In the very next paragraph, Li continues:
"The US Lung Institute recommends putting Chinese evergreens and areca palm in the living room, gerbera daisies or snake plants in the bedroom, and money plant wherever you like."
Again there are the aroids! (Aglaonema)
