wow... how nice for you. i'm so envious.
i only know rio and SP, although i've been to iguaçu falls (one of the world's true natural wonders). i still have to make it to the northern part of the country (bahia, amazon).
in rio, you should definitely visit the BOTANIC GARDEN and the BURLE-MARX ESTATE. for the latter, you need to call in advance and book a guided tour. at least that was the case both times i went there (1999 and 2001). check the archives of aroid-l (is that possible?) for details on doing that.
i don't think the sao paulo botanical garden is worth a visit, at least not from what i recall. maybe eduardo will add more details.
