Alocasia Scalprum inflo

Hello Aroiders!
I have two Inflos on my Alocasia scalprum and have been searching high and low for detailed information. Has anyone experienced pollinating an Alocasia scalprum? I have been told it can self pollinate but the seeds are not viable. The smell of the inflo is like gasoline or exhaust, not pleasant to say the least. I think I see resin producing and can see down into the female chamber but know that pollen won’t form till after female is receptive. I am thinking of collecting the pollen and waiting for the second inflo and try to pollinate. Will the female chamber increase in temperature or will I need to just watch daily and by the minute to see when I can pollinate? Any help or information is greatly appreciated, thank you.
