Dear Brian,

Thanks for keeping me in the loop on this exciting event! Nice sites/photos, I will look forward to reports on what the reactions are to the smell!

The Best,

Hello All,
Our Amorphophallus titanum began opening this afternoon, and is now fully glorious. The lights in the greenhouse will remain on through the night so as to allow for recording of images for a stop-motion film and for viewing via the Internet. Public visitation will open Sunday morning at 8:00 Central Daylight Time. About 1,000 or so visitors (rough estimate) came through the greenhouse this afternoon and evening (Saturday), even though the "official" visitation times did not apply.
