Re: Aroideana Supplement Volume 37E, No. 1

One thing in the Aroideana supplement surprised me: that Ayala et al. did not qualify their report as first record of Anura as floral visitors of Araceae IN COLOMBIA.  In other parts of the world, this has been previously reported, especially the "arum frog," Hyperolius horstockii, in South Africa, where Zantedeschia is native.  Here is the Wikipedia link: Arum frog - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia  Ayala et al.'s report was more interesting, though, in that they reported courtship behavior by the frogs; whereas the arum frog mostly seems to use the flowers as a camouflaged shelter.

I am definitely going to have to investigate the other frog they mentioned, Xenohyla truncata.
