Christopher,
thanks for the suggestion and the link.
But I think, that it my plant is not antingynansis because my friend said that he got the tuber in 2016 from Sluka; I did not remember this but found the info in my notes; as far as I know Sluka is located in Indonesia.
Furthermore the tuber looks different to the rather smooth tuber displayed in the aroid.org; see the pic of my tuber.
And I guess that an species from Madagascar that should be kept dry during dormancy would rot under my conditions (damp sphagnum).
For trading it is a little bit too early but I will make a note that you are interested.
Happy growing, Bernhard.

Hello, Bernhard!
Thanks for the link. I have that list and another one that is a few years older. There are probably more versions running around.
I ran your images through some of the keys and literature I have, and I think that your plant may be the Madagascar species Amorphophallus antsingyensis. Here is the IAS link:
What do you think? In my notes for this species, it says that if you keep the tuber mostly dry during dormancy, it will produce offsets at the soil surface. I have not grown it. But if you get offsets and want to trade, let me know!
Happy days,Christopher

if you refer to treatment during dormancy - I leave the tubers in damp Sphagnum all the time, like it is recommended for beccarii.
It seems to be OK whatever species my plant is...
A list of species that should be stored in damp substrate during dormancy can be found here:

Happy growing, Bernhard.

Agreed!
Do you grow it as a type I or type II?
I just noticed that you said in your original email that the seeds had rotted . . . sorry.
Best,Christopher

indeed a nice plant / spec.
Hopefully many of the "old" experts are still around - I guess no one deliberately unsubscribed from the aroid-L and so all might notice the newly traffic her - and say goodbye to FB... ;.-)
The seeds were firm at harvest and I expected a normal germination after a while, but I found nothing left than the seed coat after maybe 6 month in damp sphagnum.
Happy growing,
Bernhard.

That is a beautiful plant. I wish Wilbert were still on here . . . he would know it straight away.
Are the seed viable?

I got this specimen as aff. beccarii from a friend.
It divided and I ended up with two tubers flowering; the spatha turned form green to a lemon yellow; there was no scent at all.
I could pollinate the second flower with pollen of the first, so it was a selfing.
The about 20 seeds I could sow finally in sphagnum rotted unfortunately.
Since the flower does not resemble the one pictured here:
http://www.aroid.org/genera/speciespage.php?genus=amorphophallus&species=beccarii
I wonder if it could be beccarii or another spec.
BTW, the pictures are from 2022 and just now there are two flower buds growing again.
Looking forward to any comment.
Happy blooming, Bernhard.
