For those who get Aroid-L in digest mode

I've spent some time looking into the issue Jason and Robert described - if you get the list in digest mode (receiving one big email from Aroid-L every so often with accumulated posts in it), all attachments including pictures are "scrubbed" - stripped out of the text of the digest. To see them you have to click on individual links, even if the picture was originally inserted inline (embedded) within the text.

The short answer is that's just how digest mode works, in part because while pictures are the most common kind of attachment, there are lots of other that also have to be handled. Since Aroid-L is a pretty low-traffic list - I suspect most of our digests contain just one or two posts -  you may want to consider switching back to regular (non-digest) mode so you see images more naturally and conveniently.

There is another option for digests, called "MIME mode". Personally I think it's even less convenient - it makes each post within the digest a separate email attachment, meaning once again individual links you'd have to click. But anyone who gets digests can turn it on and off for themselves via the Aroid-L web interface if you want to try it.
