Ever since ive been growing A. konjac (about 3 years), not much has happened with the bulbs. Even ones that i have ahd for 3 growing seasons have put on absolutely no tuber mass at all. They usually come up mid winter and grow until mid summer. Is this too short a period of time for them to do anything? What is going wrong?? I desperately want to see a flower, and i am no closer to getting one than i was 3 years ago.
Fertilize. Fertilize again. Nitrogen, nitrogen, nitrogen. Then, when you think you have fertilized too much, you have only just begun. Fertilize some more, and more, and more. Feeding weekly is probably only a light appetizer, something like those silly rice cakes my macrobiotic friends keep offering.
Osmocote or the like is not going to cut it. Osmocote only lasts the stated time if temperatures are rather cooler than Amorphs prefer. You are going to have to mix up some liquid fertilizer and give it to your plants very frequently.
And, how big is the pot? Would you expect a 600-pound person to live in an Aston-Martin coupe?
