Kerim Alpinar survived the Turkish Earthquake!

Dear Aroider everywhere:

For those of you who know Kerim Alpinar and wonder how he came out in the
horrible earthquake that occurred in Turkey only a short time after he
returned home from the VIII International Aroid Conference in St. Louis I
am happy to report that I just got a FAX from him dated September 15th.
I was relieved to hear from him and to know that he is well. Pass the word
to those who know him who are not on Aroid-L.
