Thoughts on Nickel & Dimed

This is not meant to second guess the indonesian family you're in touch with, or your interest in support - but keep in mind that alot more goes into working and living in poverty than the objective fact of it.  It can bruise and scald your brains, exhaust your body, sometimes break it, and make it difficult to be labor intensive building a garden after work, or use your pennies wisely.  Its numbing and deflating, degrading, depressing.  Progressive labor unions are a vital part of the answer to that problem too.  Laurie
