Re: Good bee/bad bee

This is interesting to me too, because a lot of the "volunteers," bee-wise  
I've seen in Manhattan have usually been "yellow jackets" hovering near  
garbage cans or suddenly descending on a kid's Popsicle.  
 
Please share your sources, this is fascinating. 
Thanking you in advance, looking forward to expanding my etymological  
knowledge.
