Re: [cg] Community Gardens in suburbs

I am interested in developing a community garden project in Huntington Beach, CA where I live. Mostly I would like to find at least one individual in Orange County who would work with me in this city or surrounding area to get something started. I know there are lots of projects in Los Angeles County but not in Orange County

My answer re interest in "affluent suburbs" ----for Huntington Beach is a resounding NO at least for the year since I started trying to drum up interest. I do have a small project now underway for the kids at my church in Costa Mesa, but no luck with politicians etc in Huntington Beach and I don't want to work it all by myself. Any takers??

Have community gardens been successful in the more affluent suburbs?
