lots to discuss, share food and plan for the unfolding of the dream of More Gardens!,
if weather allows we will meet in El Paraiso; else at Aresh's, 79 Clinton St. #17 at SW corner of Delancey, take F to Delancey and then 1 block North 1 block East

Thank and encourage Nos Quedamos for sitting down and talking to community gardens, we need to make sure most of the 26 community gardens are made permanent where they are - especially Rincon Criollo. Melrose Commons has the highest particulate matter and South Bronx the highest national Asthma

There are over 2000 local resident signatures as well as a large group of buisness and spiritual leaders in support of the Melrose Community Gardens!

Thank him and ask him to improve the Melrose Common Plan and make All 26 community gardens in the Melrose area Permanent and to create More! South Bronx has the highest Asthma rate in the Nation!

3. Call To Mayor Bloomberg to make HPD friendly to Housing and Community Gardens - Now!

Please call Mayor Mike at 212-788-3000 and ask him to tell HPD to ENJOY the community gardens, LET the over 100 remaining endangered gardens become permanent alongside permanent homeless and low income housing. Also to allow the Parks Dept to accept new community garden (GreenThumb) leases. We now have 500 permanent community gardens! The work has just begun, NYC needs to be sustainable, 5000 more gardens needed, on rooftops, subways, relivened streets, SUV's, ....
