Detroit Garden Resource Program:
Compost bin workday: Build composting bins for the
Hope Takes Root Community Garden with the program's
composting workgroup, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sat. at 2850
Wabash (at Temple), Detroit.
Gardening with kids: Hands--on class for adults to
learn how to include children in gardening; children
welcome, 6-8 p.m. Thu. at Romanowski Park at Arnold
and Lonyo, south of Michigan Ave. $5.
Urban gardening workshop: Hands-on workshop on using
recycled materials to make garden art, 1-4 p.m. Aug.
26 at Hope Takes Root Community Garden, 2850 Wabash,
Detroit. $5.
