<bold><underline>HORTICULTURE AGENT
</underline></bold>Regular, full-time position with the Loudoun
Cooperative Extension Service, Leesburg, VA. This position will provide
educational programming in environmental horticulture to urban gardeners,
homeowners and commercial horticultural producers in Loudoun County,
including environmentally-sound pest and nutrient management. Recruit,
train, and manage Master Gardener volunteers. Plan and deliver
educational programs through workshops, seminars, conferences, one-on-one
visits, on-farm demonstrations, field trips and tours; maintain knowledge
of current research information. Must have the ability to communicate
both orally and in writing; ability to conduct educational programs;
ability to use a computer. Any combination of education and experience
equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in related field with two years and six
months experience in the horticulture field; volunteer recruitment &
management experience is preferable. Must have a valid driver's license
and vehicle and must obtain a commercial Category 10 Pesticide license
(demonstration and training) within six months of employment. Work
schedule may include some night and weekend hours; hours flexible.=20
Closes December 1. Salary range $34,969-57,000 with full benefits.
