Wasatch Community Gardens is a community-based, non-profit organization
serving Salt Lake City's inner-city neighborhoods. Our mission is to help
people grow and share fresh produce; to teach urban youth responsibility,
cooperation and ecological awareness; and to be an active resource for
sustainable organic gardening.

Position: Programs Administrator
Wasatch Community Gardens seeks a Programs Administrator to work closely
with Program Coordinators and the Executive Director and serve as the office
manager. Must be highly motivated, energetic and committed to the success of
Wasatch Community Gardens, a local non-profit youth and community service

Responsibilities include:
 Managing mailing list and client databases
 Performing accounting and payroll duties
 Helping meet office technology needs
 Executing press releases, PSAs and all other public relations materials
relating to the programs or special events
 Researching new sources of funding
 Helping develop high-quality public relations materials (brochures,
newsletters, signage)
 Keep track of fund raising calendar and funders' addresses, deadlines,
 Seeking in-kind donations
 Scheduling a wide range of meetings and taking minutes at staff meetings
 Organizing office space, hard files, and computer files
 Helping Program Coordinators with administrative duties relating to the
success of the programs

 Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
 Top-notch organizational skills
 Self-motivated and ability to perform multiple tasks
 Good writing and research skills
 Ability to adapt to flexible schedule
 Job and/or volunteer experience which reflects ability to fulfill the
above responsibilities
 Knowledge of gardening and service to youth or adults is beneficial but
not required
 Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in communications, office
management, or public relations

Salary dependent on experience

Hours:  30 hours per week, flexible schedule, schedule somewhat negotiable
