In
Chattanooga, Tennessee, my hometown, the local office of the Trust for Public
Land helped negotiate the purchase of a 200-year-old family farm by the City of
Chattanooga which now operates as Crabtree Farms of Chattanooga. It offers a
strong community garden component, a local farmers' market, educational
workshops for consumers and growers on organic and sustainable techniques and
marketing approaches, etc.
