tags for nursery plants

hi. i'm helping manage a nonprofit fruit nursery.  we're searching for the best 
plant tags that hold ink or pencil for labels under wet and humid conditions.

does anyone have any tips on recycled materials that hold up well in nursery 
and greenhouse production?  we prefer to recycle rather than buy new.   please 
share your successes.
