No Till - One more time


To All,
I failed to mention in the previous post that the newspaper weed barrier
used in our planting rows will be covered with leaves not wood chips (no
huge nitrogen tied up here).  I get the leaves free from folks who rake and
bag them up for disposal by the city (curbside pickup).  What a deal!  Free
labor, free bagged leaf mulch.

The wood chips between the planted rows are for walking on.  Any weeds that
may grow in the wood chip paths are removed using a rototiller (2" depth).
I can remove all the weeds in the wood chipped paths in about 30 minutes or
less!

I converted 4 rows into a raised row format 2 years ago and had great
production from them.  See at...
