RE: Community Land Trusts

In Boston, a neighborhood-based open space land trust was established in 1990 to take ownership and assume management of community gardens -- today the South End Lower Roxbury Open Space Land Trust owns 15 community gardens.  There are also four other single garden land trusts.  My organization, Boston Natural Areas Network serves as a community land trust for 50 other community gardens.
