ACGA Feb. 15 Teleconference


The next ACGA Member Teleconference workshop will be on Wednesday, February
15, 2006 at 4 PM eastern, 3 PM central, 2 PM mountain, 1 PM pacific.  This
month's topic is  Community Gardens as part of Community Food Projects.
Speakers will include representatives from the Toronto Stop Community Food
Centre and from St. Louis Gateway Greening.  Although the deadline for the
USDA Community Food Grant program was moved up to February 12 for a Letter
of Inquiry process, Zy Weinberg from USDA will also be on the call to tell
about past community garden/community food projects.

Also, the Community Food Security Coalition offer free assistance to help
you develop a successful proposal. CFSC's technical assistance specialists
can help you decide whether or not to apply, clarify CFP program guidelines,
address technical questions, provide feedback on program plans, review draft
letters of intent and proposals, and help you develop an evaluation plan.
CFSC will sponsor up to 75 minutes of one-on-one assistance per grant
