Hello dear friends: Please read, respond, and forward This is a call to a weekly "Action E-mail" why? To challenge the persistence Forces of Darkness here in NYC To encourage the public officials so they get off their dark office chairs, go out in the sun and smell the roses! Many of you know of or have been to the amazing community gardens in the South Bronx and have joined hands in celebration to keep these green oases alive. The latest chapter: After months of broken promises, waiting, being lied to, and becoming really pissed off.... The gardeners are going to meet Ted Weinstein (TW) of Dept of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) TW has taken our long missing Councilmember Jose "M" Serrano to the dark side. His plan will if successful, bulldoze most of the gardens and all the living beings on it, Tearing up the community and leaving behind broken hearts. The time is getting close, as Tuesday July 27th 4pm comes to fore. Who will the young son of the respected congressman Serrano stand with? Will Jose Marco Serrano stand with the people or the dark forces? Please CLICK HERE to participate in this saga by sending encouraging electrons via E-mail to Councilmember Serrano ( it is super fun! even if you don't send anything) If the spoken voice is your power tool by all means call (718) 402-6130, ask for George Torres the executive director (he is the brains).
