Hi, Folks!
If you couldn't make the Labyrinth Dedication on Saturday, kick yourself --
it was a beautiful event. Mib Campbell, her music therapy colleagues and
student and the Mitchell Program of St. Gabriel's Hall did a FANTASTIC job
with the live music selections. We welcomed State Representative Carole
Rubley to the garden who presented us with a lovely certificate and the
Chester County Gleaning Project donated a lovely selection of baked goods
for refreshments with the St. Gabriel's boys served with professional
catering flair!
Once I get a copy of The Phoenix article, I'll forward it to everyone.
Meanwhile, the Labyrinth is free and open to the public during daylight
hours -- come use it as often as your schedule permits.
Now that summer is here, these are our set community service hours for work
at the community garden. If anyone you know, either youth or adult, is
looking for hours, they are welcome to join us at these times or to set up
additional hours throughout the summer:
Sundays: 5 pm until dark (Chester County Juvenile Probation)
Tuesdays: Perennial Garden Volunteers 5:30 pm to dark (all welcome)
Wednesdays: Mitchell Program of St. Gabriel's Hall 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm
Fridays: Mitchell Program of St. Gabriel's Hall 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm
St. Gabriel's will begin earlier in the day once their school year ends.
All of these youth LOVE visitors and encouragement -- if you're on the North
Side at any of these times, do stop by and let the youth know that you
appreciate the work they are doing -- and of course, on Tuesday nights, join
us to pull a few weeds and have lots of conversation!
