Zepharine,
Mandevillas are tropical climbing plants, sun to part sun, propagate by
cuttings. More info? Call your local library, still the best info source
on the planet(they've got the internet, too, and usually know tricks that
the general public doesn't on information gathering).
You'll have to cut 'em back and bring 'em in for winter, and they'll need
the sunniest place available, and/or lighting supplimentation.
