worms!

Worms are always part of our community garden's education classes-- and
often among the most popular! Yesterday morning I taught an overflowing
class of 45 folks-- from ages 2-72-- about vermiculture and sent them home
with their very own bins and critters! It was inspiring to see the
enthusiasm for the little wigglers across the generations. As always, I'm
indebted to Mary Appelhof (wormwoman.com) for instilling me with
vermi-enthusiasm; she remains one of my alltime heroes.
