something I learned from my Japanese mother-in-law: grate daikon (the large
radish) and squeeze out some of the water. Spread it out between saran wrap
and freeze. Then break off pieces to use as you need. She does this with
ginger, scallions and other vegetables too, by the way. Doesn't answer your
question about freezing whole radishes, but may give you hope...
