Didn't you always want to buy some radioactive soil for your garden,
landscaping project, playground or ball field? You may soon get your wish.
According to the Environmental News Service,the Nuclear Regulatory
Commission has selected "realistic reuse scenarios" for the tons of "low
level" contaminated soils removed from nuclear power plants. The soil could
be marketed to construction projects, farmers, golf courses and other
commercial groups.
The NRC will take public comment on its report on human interaction with
"reused soils" until Nov. 17.
