EARTH CELEBRATIONS: A NON- PROFIT ENVIRONMENTAL & ARTS ORGANIZATION
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
Earth Celebrations is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering
ecological awareness through the arts. Since 1991, Earth Celebrations has
been working to preserve the community gardens on the Lower East Side, and
throughout New York City through innovative arts projects, theatrical
pageants, performances, exhibitions, video programs, web-site, and art &
ecology workshops for children and adults through schools, community
centers, and gardens.
VOLUNTEER SKILLS NEEDED:
Organization/Logistics
Carpentry/Tech/Electric/Lighting/Sound
Publicity
Computer/Graphic Design
Sewing/Puppetry/Arts Production
Assist workshops with Earth Celebrations building large-scale puppets,
masks, and costumes for Earth Celebrations Garden Pageants.
Workshops held 6-9pm every Wednesday & 1-5pm every Saturday
October-January (except holiday weekends)
