ACGA Board nominations

Reminder:  this Friday, September 23rd is the deadline for nominations
(self-nominations welcomed) for the ACGA board of directors.  You can
submit a nomination online or download a form at
http://www.communitygarden.org/boardnom.php.  Questions and to confirm
receipt of your nomination, contact Rebecca Ferguson at 212-402-1121 or
Rebecca@nycgreen.org

ACGA asks much of its board members (see the Board expectations pamphlet
at http://www.communitygarden.org/BODExpectationspamphlet2.pdf).
Currently board members are reimbursed up to $600 per year for travel to
the two board meetings.  All other meetings are conducted by conference
calls paid by ACGA.

Being on the board has numerous rewards:

*	Fun and camaraderie
*	Being on the frontline of determining ACGA's programming and
future directions (especially as we move to a permanent home in the next
couple of years)
*	Learning firsthand about other programs and opportunities from
around the US and Canada
*	Opportunity for sharing and learning.
