You may be thinking of the Austral Gem fern, Asplenium dimorphum x
difforme. I had one that was quite large, in a 7 gallon pot until last
winter claimed it...

Hi to all fernies.
I had it growing in a terrarium as i believed it was a 'small' fern. and
it
has been very slow growing very leathery and prostrate but fronds are
now
about 6 to 8 inches. I believe it was a natural hybrid between 2 ferns
or a
'man made one" it looks more like an aspelenium to me.
have taken a pic can you please advise how to upload it.
