Dryopteris found in the woods

  • Subject: [ferns] Dryopteris found in the woods

Just came back from a walk in my local patch, and taking a different route I
saw these ferns. Now, I'm used to seeing only bracken when I come across wild
ferns but this looked different-I had to get a closer look!
I flipped the frond over and hey presto, lots of tiny green 'c' shaped
sori-this told me its a dryopteris!
I grabbed a pic with my phone, beautiful plants!
