Temperatures for Brazilian Fern @ Kangaroo Fern. Also problems with insects

I have a very large fern that someone smuggled to Canada from Brazil; Also several Kangaroo ferns. Question: When should I bring them in from the covered porch. Temps here at night are about 13 C. at present.
   
  Also, I have had problems with mealy bugs, and scale insects (the latter especially on birdsnest ferns: Do I dispose of these ferns?).
   
  Love my ferns, bromiliads and orchids, but the bugs are driving me crazy.
