RE: Microsorum scolopendria?
The photo looks like M. scolopendria. It is very variable. Particularly when
stressed, the fronds can be small and simple or just having a single
indentation. Otherwise, they can be slightly pinnatifid (small indentations)
to extremely so.
Best wishes

Subject: [ferns] Microsorum scolopendria?
I recently received a fern under this name, a.k.a. wart fern. It appears to
have been mass-produced, being a plug from a 72-unit tray. Here is an older
plant with entire fronds similar to the one received:

Elsewhere, this species is described as having pinnatifid fronds, and most
of
the web photos are consistent with that. The rhizomes are a tangled mass
like
Microsorum musifolium. The venation is netted, but more obscure than that of
musifolium. What is this plant?
