the magic sphere

i just noticed something. if you ignore the mumbo jumbo about adding and subtracting and just ask the great oz for signs that match numbers, very soon it doesn't. so, like most superstitious truths, it begins to fall apart, that is, become incoherent.. i suspect the controlling factor here is gullibility--as it is in most superstitions. but i haven't figured out what that is. yet.
