Jim...it is Michelia figo, another common name Magnolia Fuscata--Avg. 15' x
8'.(..sorry! zone 8 & 9 !) Which may be a problem--as with Dogwood-they grew
well in my Jacksonville yard, but not here 30 miles south...and I think the
soil is sandier here..Have also lost 2 Tea or Sweet Olive..-I think for the
same reason...but having grown up on the Mississippi coast & N.O. I miss
them! The smell is haunting...
