my nephew

I just have to tell you all thank you for all your prayers and notes to my nephew while he was in Iraq. I am getting ready to head to Amarillo to meet him when he gets off the plane. He got to the US a few days ago from Iraq and today is the day that they will give him a medal for demonstrating courage beyond the call when coming under fire and manning the 50 Cal machine gun effectively suppressing the enemy fire. (my brother read the letter and sent me that info)
My 2 brothers and my sister are going to be there with their spouses. I am sure his wife's parents will be there too so not a big group but his wife thinks he would rather not have a big party right now. He has a new 3 week old baby girl and a 1 year old boy that will be excited to see him too. We are taking our 16 year old son out of school, even missing an important soccer game tonight. I think it will be an important event in his and our lives!
