Re: Beans talk

The best is when the dog is standing on top of the tool box attached in the bed of the pick-up.

Flatbed trucks and pickups are what I'm talking about (in "Bubba Land"
anyway) I see it all the time...an Australian Shepherd or some cattle
dog on the back with nothing to secure them.

I agree, but when I was young I just didn't think of those things. My dog
Randy, a Malamute, rode in what passes for a back seat in my MGB. I didn't
realize he had his front feet up on the back of the car and when I turned a
corner - - out he went. Of course, he didn't have far to go and I wasn't
going fast. He sure had a puzzled look on his face when I went back to get
him though.

Hideous. Makes me angry. I get angry when I see a dog riding in the back
of a truck...there is nothing to keep him flying off if the person hit
the brakes or took a sharp turn. Grrrrrr.

That makes me think of the St. Bernard my aunt's neighbor had. Whenever we
visited, the poor thing was chained in the driveway. I found out later the
choker chain grew right into his neck. They never upped the size as he
grew.
