Okay, where do you get it? I really need something for the 17 outside cats, and I can't afford Frontline Topspot for the inside ones, either.

O.K. ya'll...after doing my "due diligence" on natural flea control (and
also, because of the goats who get lice..not the kind that get on
people...but bothersome to them) I researched "food grade" diatomaceaus
earth and then searched for a reasonably priced one...and found it. I
tried it on the dogs and cats first because the fleas are HORRIBLE here.
Works like a charm. Tried it on the goats. Works like a charm. You just
rub it in their coats and walk away. The fleas and other pests are gone
within a couple of days and it stays that way as long as they have some
of the powder on them. I will never be without it again. I ordered four
5 lb. bags of it. Should last me awhile..and it only cost me $25.31.

A plus (there's at least one!) about living where I do is that there are no
fleas. Too dry, I guess; haven't had to worry about fleas on the dogs &
cats
for 20 years now.

Mine are $88 yr per cat plus the $30 each flea shot. but my guys get
everything available except heartworm. One concern I have is...when
Slugger
showed up last year and caused so many fights, I had no intention of
taking
him in, I just wanted him neutered to reduce his agression. Then he
wouldn't leave. (on my lap now) So he ended up getting everything. The
initial everything is a lot more than $88. As I said, no one will do just
the parts I ask. We'll see. Kitty neIN, Z5

Can you check and see if any "events" are offering discounted shots? They do that around here periodically. Of course getting him there may be an issue if he's skittish about cars or crowds. We are having a clinic astheycall it this weekend. It's the Spring Pet Fling and they're microchipping for $10 and rabies for $5. Usually they offer a big discount on all the other necessaries as well. I myself pay $80 a dog.....for their "5,000 mile" checkup each year. Ouch.
