Re: rabbits & deer

If you want unwashed hair clippings, go to a barber shop. They never wash anything, near as I can tell.

Welcome, Vera. Glad to have you with us.
I hate to rain on your parade, right out of the box, but my experience has
been (and boy, do I have experience with deer!) that the hair needs to be
unwashed, and salons usually wash your hair before they cut it. Also,
like all the other deer remedies, they get used to it in a few weeks and
you have to move on to something else.

Welcome Vera, and thanks. My cats usually take care of the rabbits and I
don't have deer, but our MG gardens at the extension office have lots of
wildlife and not much protection. When I saw the singing bass at Walgreens,
I got to thinking. I'm not sure we could find enough hair for what we need,
but maybe I will check a few salons.

Vera, from what part of Zone 5 do you hail?

HI Group,
New lurker here - Vera -not sure about the singing fish for rabbits
and deer but do know that putting human hair cuttings will deter the
deer. They kept digging up my front perenial area and after a trip
to the beauty shop.. no more tracks or digging!
