Hi Theresa
The phone number for Neon Palms is 707 585 8100. Owners name is Dale. He specializes in digging up mature palms that are no longer wanted and selling them. But his nursery has many different kinds in anything from 10 gallons to huge boxes. Ask them if Dale ever started his place in Fairfield. That would be lot closer to you.
Another place I just remembered the name of is Jurassic Palms. I believe they are in Richmond.

Thanks for the info Dave. I have no idea what their budget is- lets just say they've already invested more than I can imagine. So... how would one contact Neon Palms or any of the other you know about?

Hi Theresa
I have a company here in Santa Rosa called Neon Palm and they specialize in all kinds of palms from large to small. There are several palm dealers in the Eastbay also. I will warn you that large palm trees are very very expensive. A 15-20' Canary Island palm can cost from $5-10,000! If they can find one and can afford it tell them to look into a Chilean Wine palm. Really beautiful

This one is for Jim- but any ideas are welcome...
I have a friend (truly- it's not me!) who has a couple of palms in their front yard that seem to have stunted growth. They get new fronds, but the things just don't get any taller (it's been 3 years). They live in downtown Sacramento, have wonderful soil. Is there sometype of micronutrients that Palms need? Any ideas? I have to look up the name of the palms for you, but it is one of the common types that are typically fast growing.
So, next question- do you happen to know any companies in Northern California that sell LARGE (full sized trees) Palms? My friends are just finished a redo on their back yard and want to buy a half dozen to put it (they are making their own personal oasis).
